“Official” Bio
By profession, I am a Software Professional, but by designation I am Staff Scientist at CDAC Mumbai, India.
I am B. Sc(H) in Physics from LNMU, Darbhanga and MCA with Honour from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
I am also Sun Certified Java Programmer for the Java Platform, Standard Edition 5.0 (SCJP).
My “Real Story”
I was born in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, India in 1979. I am from a Lower Middle Class Family and one of the backward state of India. My parents made so many sacrifices for me and my two younger brothers(Sanjeet and Mintu), so that we could get proper higher education. My mother(Mala Devi) is a housewife and my father(Upendra Singh) is a government official.
I attended a primary school at my village till class III. My parents moved from my village to a small Town Samastipur, so that we could get into a good school. Then onward I attended ‘Bal Bharati Montessori School’ in IV and V. Then attended Govt. Middle School for class V and VI and then moved to Railway High School for classes VII to X.
Then moved to college life for I.Sc(Maths) and B.Sc.(H) Physics in Samastipur College Samastipur. After my graduation I had to decide for any professional course, as it was supposed to be no future in science. Though I was very good at Physics, I loved it, I had to leave it for the higher education. For professional course I selected MCA(Master of Computer Applications), as at this time there was a big hype for Computers and its related courses. As I had already studied one paper of Computer Science in my I.Sc as part of the vocational paper. So, it gradually became my second area of Interest. Again I had to leave my small town for MCA course, because by that time this course was not available in small towns and cities. For this I moved to Delhi for the preparation of its entrance test, so that I could get into a better University. This was the first time I had came out of my small town. I was accompanied by one my classmates. There was totally different life outside home and we could not adjust and this affected our study and as a result we were not selected in any of the prestigious university. Finally I could get into a college under University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. So my course started in the Pink City of India. I had lots of mix of experiences from this place. A lots of memories from the college and the ‘Dadi ka Hostal’ and with friends.
I wasted my two precious years of my life because of ‘Late Sessions’ in the Universities. 1 year I lost in B.Sc and 1 year in MCA. Both course were each of 3 years and both took 4 years each. One more year I lost after my I.Sc. This time it was because of Bihar Intermediate Education Council, Patna. My result was kept pending for unknown reasons and finally I got my result so late that I could not get into the next course for that session.
I was in Deepshikha College of Technical Education for my MCA course. There was no campus placement and even there was no hope to start. Some of my classmates were confident for their placements as they were having some links in the IT industry. For students like me, it was just a nightmare to get into the IT industry. I can’t explain my experience in few words, about what happens when there is no campus placement in the college and you have no links in the industry.
At the end of the day, it was my talent, my hard work and friends which helped me. Finally After lots of push around of two months after the course finished, I could manage to get into Rajcomp, Jaipur with help of my friends Prashant and Gunjan(they worth their name to be mentioned here, as It was my first breakthrough in the industry with their help). I was not on the payroll and I was on the salary of Rs. 5000/month. Salaray never comes on time here if you are not on the payroll. I could get the first and last salary of here, when I had left the job after two months. Means it was just Rs. 2500/month. But still I was happy, because it gave me the start of my career and ultimately because of this I was inside the IT industry. So this was the first break through. Thereafter, I had not to look back.
After this job I joined FCS, Noida with the reference of my friend Abhinav. I could only work only one month here, because by this time, I was selected in C-DAC Mumbai through CST exam.
This was the other major breakthrough in my career path. So I joined C-DAC Mumbai in August 2006 as a Project Engineer. In 2007, promoted to the designation of Staff Scientist. Working at C-DAC was like a dream come true. It was like getting a new life in my career and growing with it. I was fortunate enough first to be the part of C-DAC and then SENG(Software Engineering Division). SENG is very good combination of talents and caring seniors, specially Urja, Peeyush and ED Sir (Zia Saquib). In these years nothing had grown like SENG division in C-DAC Mumbai. When joined it was rarely a size of 10 and now its touching 40. Now I am having a very good circle of friends/colleagues specially Bhupesh, Rajeev, Sony, Vijay, Imarn, Priyanka, Raymond sir. Apart from working on small MIS projects like CST, I was fortunate enough to get a chance to work on the NSDG (National e-Governance Services Delivery Gateway) project(one of MMP under NeGP of Government of India), NSD (National Services Directory), SSDG (State e-Governance Services Delivery Gateway).
Apart from the career, there is going to be now a very BIG transition in my life and soon I will be introducing a one of the most important persons in my life. ![]()
